A clinical supervisor will decide the appropriate assessment to administer. Information from the parents will be gathered to assist in the assessment. The assessment will gather information on environmental factors affecting behaviors. We will assess current levels of communication, barriers preventing language acquisition and causes for challenging behaviors. A treatment plan will be developed to determine the best level of care.
Therapy consists of the execution of the individualized treatment plan. The treatment plan consists of goals and procedures to address the learner’s language delays and/or behavior concerns. Technicians will keep ongoing data to measure the learner’s performance. We encourage parents to participate in therapy session for collaboration and coaching opportunities. Therapy can take place in a variety of settings including the home, clinic, and community.
The clinical supervisor will set up monthly family training meetings with family members. Family training personally empowers parents to manage behavior effectively. Parents are taught to carry out the treatment plan independently.
The goal of a comprehensive program is to create socially significant behaviors that create meaningful change in one’s life. Our process allows children the opportunity to practice newly acquired skills in real world and group settings to promote the retention of skills..
